Case Study: Nurses Laptop Cart for Assisted Living Company
Client: National Senior Living Company
Situation: Nurses need carts that combine laptop security with a customized storage solution
Solution: Nurses Secure Laptop Cart from First Products
SUMMARY:
Mov-it Nurses Laptop Cart from First Products:
PROCESS:
A National Senior Living organization contacted us to create a laptop cart with a
locking drawer that met their aesthetic and budget needs for their group of Assisted living facilities. They were transitioning to laptop computers and needed mobile carts that provided laptop security as well as secure storage.
Collaborating with the facility’s
Wellness Director and the Purchasing
Manager, First Products design engineers determined the range of laptop sizes, storage needs and other specifications to create a mobile secure laptop cart to meet the unique requirements of the client.
The easily portable, yet durable, cart included white powder-coated steel surfaces. First Products designed the custom cart and presented the initial design for approval to go to the Demo cart stage. With Nursing staff feedback for increased storage, the final demo cart was created and we received client approval for manufacture. To accommodate two large locking drawers, a solid base with 4 casters was used for exceptional stability.
The Nurses Laptop Cart was built by First Products to fully meet the unique design specifications of the Senior Living client. The client ordered sufficient quantities for several senior living locations in their group.
OUTCOME:
The custom Nurses Laptop Cart provided a mobile solution for the nursing staff to care for residents, use their laptops efficiently while deterring theft or damage, and storing supplies securely.
The Wellness Director and Nursing staff were highly satisfied with the custom solution, and Purchasing Dept. was pleased with the timely process and adherence to budget. The client looks forward to working with us again.
