SUMMARY:

Bringing technology into the lab is not an easy task. We recently worked with a national healthcare group who needed the convenience of IT in a IT unfriendly environment.

By listening to the end-user, studying their workflow, and considering all of the staff, we were able to create a perfect-fit solution and deliver a product customized to meet their specific needs.

The Lab IT station hovers conveniently above the cytology bench, making it a perfect-fit solution for this client.

CHALLENGES:

We recently worked with a national healthcare group who needed a customized solution that incorporated the convenience of IT in an IT unfriendly environment. The solution needed to allow easy access for technicians to use in either a sitting or standing position while maintaining the bench space needed for all necessary lab tasks.

A LAB IT SOLUTION CUSTOMIZED TO FIT THEIR SPECIFIC NEEDS.

PROCESS:

In order to deliver a perfect-fit solution, we first listened to the end-user to better understand their needs. We then studied the staff’s workflow and considered how their lab and IT staff would benefit from different features.

After we had a clear understanding of the client’s needs and how they would benefit from the different features available to them, we went to work and created a prototype for evaluation. Once the prototype was approved by the client, we delivered the product - a perfect-fit solution to their needs.

OUTCOME:

The custom Lab IT Station provided a perfect-fit solution for the specific requests of the lab and IT staff. The staff was able to better accomplish their daily tasks with a station that allowed for both sitting and standing positions and plenty of bench space for any necessary lab task.
