SUMMARY:
Incorporating a mobile telehealth workflow has many challenges – the cart should not be one of them. We recently worked with a national healthcare group who had subtle customization requests for their caregivers.
By listening to the end-user, studying their workflow, and considering all of the staff, we were able to create a perfect-fit solution and deliver a product customized to meet their specific needs. Our solution incorporated all the details that were important to this facility.
CHALLENGES:
The national healthcare group needed a customized solution to meet specific requests to better serve their caregivers. The details of the requests from this facility include power, a wide range of movement, sound enhancement, work surfaces for their laptops, all while limiting the amount of space used with a compact footprint.
A MED CART CUSTOMIZED TO MEET THEIR SPECIFIC NEEDS.
PROCESS:
In order to deliver a perfect-fit solution, we first listened to the end-user to better understand their needs. We then studied the staff’s workflow and considered how their clinicians, physicians, and IT staff would benefit from different features.
After we had a clear understanding of the client’s needs and how they would benefit from the different features available to them, we went to work and created a prototype for evaluation. Once the prototype was approved by the client, we delivered the product - a perfect-fit solution to their needs.
OUTCOME:
The custom TELEHealth cart provided a perfect-fit solution for the specific requests of the caregivers. The staff was able to better serve their patients with a cart that had a wider range of movement, enhanced sound, and took up less space with a compact design.
